Scrapbook Adhesive. Similar to Herma but better. Only negative is that as far as I can see there is no refill so it works out expensive. I loved using it though. Here's my review

Went pony riding at a friend's yesterday- Erin had a fab time. Forgot my camera and the Nokia for once was a bit pants. Maybe I'm not steady enough. Won't put the pics up as there are other kids on the photos and it's not fair

Bumbo

borrowed one from my friend Kim and Swyn loves it. Far easier than having her lying on her back which she hates, or propping her up with pillows although she is still very small in it and tends to slide a lot. I never bothered getting one for Erin as she was happier in her swing but little miss Swyn hates her swing, her crib, her cot, the floor, the sofa infact whenever she's not being carried but she will tolerate the Bumbo for a wee while

this Nokia phone has a fab camera on it. Took this of Swyn today. The only critique is that like all digitals it's a bit pants indoors.

Erin very poorly- has been since Wednesday- a viral infection according to both doctors who have seen her yesterday and today.

Wow- just found a new oven cleaner that really works. OVEN PRIDE- as recommended by Tracy and lou- no idea how I've got to 38 without discovering that this does actually work.

Goodness knows what it does to the environment but my oven is spotless. Can't see me using it all the time as I'm sure it's harmful to the environment but as a one off its fab

Rough weekend

With the feeding again. Swyn hadn't put on a lot of weight last Wednesday- 6 1/2 oz in 3 weeks which isn't great. By Friday I felt that I had hardly any milk and Swyn and I were both upset. I emailed Sharon for advice and actually took some more domperiodone tablets until I had heard from her. Even though the dose I took was ok it isn't widespread practice.

Anyway I have ordered some herbal concoction and have started taking milk thistle and drinking fennel tea to try and increase my supply. Hopefully the More Milk will arrive today and then we'll see what happens. I'm not holding my breath to be honest and I'm hoping that I can struggle through to 6 months - 9 weeks to go

Cor blimey - i just can't stop going on about the Scrapagogo kits. They are truly delish and just give such good value for money. All layouts have an element of a kit in it. Some the Feb kit and some from previous kits. Also used are the LSH ribbon kits

Ian's birthday coming up and it's a biggie- we've decided not to do anything at the moment and go to Disneyworld Paris either this spring or this autumn. card further down the post using piccie of him as a baba and Gogo kit. Also some cards made using embossing folders

Just come across a load of stash from the shop and have decided to put together little kits to make beer mat books. I was in bed and heard him go outside- thought he'd gone for a sly fag.
This morning came down- massive bunch of red flowers, box of choccies and cards onthe chair- AW bless his little cotton socks.

Been so industrious the last few days. I don't get an awful lot of time to myself and when i do I struggle. So I have subbed to the Scrapagogo kit. I have bought a few kits previously but decided to sub and not buy any other stash.

The first 3 I did in about an hour this morning- it was so quick to just grab the box and GOGO. The only bits i added were from Lianne's ribbon kits (sadly will be no more)

The other Layouts are from the November kit and also Tiger Tiger and First day of school are from the charity kit that Scrapgogo did a few months ago.

Have also made some cards but won't show them on here as they are for people who read this

Better today

Things are loads better today.
Just had Swyn weighed nad she's put on 7 1/2 oz-yup- 7 1/2 oz my little heavyweight has put on lol.
She is now up from 0.4th centile to 2nd centile and is within an ok weight range. Her head and length are both on the 50th centile so dead average. She's just a skinny minny I think.
Ordered me a 12 x 12 guillotine yesterday and told Ian that's the birthday present he MEANT to buy me instead of the flowers and he agreed that the flowers were an oversight.

Would like it if someone could explain what's happening to my mail though. Tracy lives half a mile down the road from me and we have the same postie. He goes to her just before me. So why then when kits are despatched from somewhere does hers arrive 2 days before mine?
Exactly the same item sent out at exactly the same time but she gets hers 2 days before me. Me thinks the potie is a secret stash stroker and is keeping my kits back awhile. This is the second kit this has happened with.

As you can tell I am eagerly pacing the floor waiting for my GOGO kit.

I love my phone- have had a chance to play a bit with it and it's fantastic. Just need to work out how to download music onto it from my pc and I'm away

New piece of kit

Got me a new piece of kit today. It's a Sat Nav, phone, a 5 mega pixel camera, a video, a mini cinema (comes with the new Spiderman 3 movie and you can download and then watch other movies), a music player. It's pretty much an all singing all dancing gizmo for the Queen of the gadgets. I LOVE gadgets and have today taken delivery of the New Nokia N95 8GB. A monster of a phone lol.
This phone replaces the Samsung that I had 2 weeks ago and which drains the battery like nobody's business.

We had Erin's party on Saturday and a fantastic day was had by everybody. it all went smoothly- no one turned up who hadn't RSVP'd (please don't start me on that but I couldn't believe that some people didn't have the courtesy to even tell me their child wan't going). I'll upload some piccies later.

Been to one of the breastfeeding groups half an hour away today and feel a bit better. The lady that runs it is a GP and is fantastically reasuring after a bad week last week. she's in the middle of doing her training to be a breastfeeding counsellor and wants to doa case study of me for her course. Off to see Sharon this Thursday to get Swyn weighed and also to fill in the charts which I should have been given by my health visitor a long time ago.

.... about the power of dreams...................

A week after i'd had the triple blood test when i was pregnant ith Swyn- i had a dream.

In the dream the midwife came round to tell me i was high risk for abnormalities.

Later THAT DAY she did indeed call and tell me that very news.

Last night I had a dream that my period would start and today it has. No reason for it to be today- i am still breastfeeding so theoretically they might not have started for months.

There have been other dreams- i just wonder....

Can't believe my baby is 4. She was so exceited this morning and has been really good all day. er party is this Saturday- hope it doesn't snow to stop people coming.
Have been very productive last few days and used the Nov Scrapagogo kit. I just love gettingeverything in one box to focus my mind :)
Erin's birthday card- not Gogo but Blonde Moments.

Took her to the breastfeeding group locally where I had arranged to meet Sharon and my little dot is now up to a heavyweight 9lb 12 oz :) She has put on 7 1/2 oz in the previous 6 days. next weigh in will be baby clinic on Thursday when she has her second lot of jabs- really hate them but would hate it more if something happened to her because I hadn't had her immunised.

Erin's birthday this Thursday coming and her party will be on the following Saturday. Gordon Bennet- 4 years ago we were still just a couple, mind you I was overdue by now this time 4 eyars ago as madame was actually due on the 26th January

Finally getting round to some scrapping

Went to a crop for a few hours today and took the November GoGo kit. Altered this clipboard for hanging on the kitchen wall and keep all our receipts on it. I just LURVE the blue transparent ribbon- the colour is soooo lush.

Also made some cards with the GOGO card kit for December. The Love one has embossed acetate on the squares- if you look closely you may be able to see it. All the others are either Gogo kits or Sarah's cards kits.

Came home after lunch today as I had Swyn with me and she wasn't into being settled at all although she had been fantastic all morning (and she slept so I was able to alter the clipboard)

Had loads of fun over the past few days making cards with some lovely Magnolia images, I can sort of do some watercolouring of an evening when Swyn is feeding and then in the 45 mins I have in the morning, after I make the fire and sort the chores out I can make a few cards.

.....rang Vodafone the other day to ask hen my phone was due for renewal- now says the girl so I'm getting a new phone- being delivered to Ian's tomorrow- the Samsung G600- HERE it is.

Hadn't really thought what i wanted as a phone but then again I never do and alwasy end up with what they recommend.
So long as it has a decent camera I'm not really bothered. There's a crack across the lens on my old camera phone so a new camera phone is a bit of a necessity really and it's totally FREE which is better

busy week

Last week was a busy old week.
Weigh in on Thursday where Swyn had put on 3 1/2 oz in the previous week.
Have gone back to wearing my old glasses for a bit as I'm fed up of the red ones. Love frameless.
Creatively I haven't done an awful lot- tis nigh on impossible with Swyn but who cares eh, she won't need me like this forever will she.
Mims and Lana are coming down from liverpool tomorrow and are coming here along with Annwen and Tracy so there'll be 5 Pink Fluffy Fairies all together- can't wait- no doubt I won't get anything done but it'll be nice to chat.

I got crafty. Finally finished a Christmas book I've been working on- Nadolig is Christmas in Welsh. Pictures from Christmas and lush papers from Bubbly Funk, ribbons from various kits over at Little Silver Hat (boo hoo- do you really have to close Lianne) and also Ribbon Mad- . have been working on it for a while but finally tied the ribbons on yesterday.
Also finished an acetate wall hanging that I'm not too sure about. Started and finshed and hung a canvas with pictures of both my girls. And then finally a card. Have also made a couple of cards for the GOGO birthday club but I won't post them here as the recipients haven't seen them yet :)

Now I don't normally buy magazines but a few months ago i bought Papercraft essentials and entered a competition- (don't do this very often either)

Then on the 1st December ago a Xyron arrived through the post and I knew it was a freebie but I couldn't remmeber from what- I had a new baby to contend with at the time lol.

So happened to buy the mag in Smiths today, flisking through, thought to myself- that card looks familiar and realised IT WAS MINE- WOWSER

On the down side Swyn hadn't gained a lot of weight this last 6 days BUT as sharon siad over the last month she's gained well.

Upping the domperidone and a bit more formula for Swyn and reweigh next week.She's developing so nicely I really thougt we'd have a big gain this week.

On the positive side my health is improving- Heamaglobin is up to 10 and my platelets are 127. Splenectomy isn't such an urgent matter any more- I was going to have to have it this spring but the consultant is happy to wait till Swyn is a bit older before whipping it out.

...Ian would listen to me when I'm telling him how to compose the shot. he feels that because it's digital all the editing can be done on the pc but you lose resolution when you cut the photo down. He also thinks that autofocus is totally automatic- well MR M- it isn't- you have to do soem focusing- as I keep telling you- I really wish you would listen so that I can have some nice photos of me and the girls for wen they're older.

Can you tell which is Swyn and whish is Erin?
Ian took the first photo tonight of Swyn and i and the other photo is of Erin when she was about the same age as Swyn is now

for Erin's new boots!!!!!!!!! Argh. She needed new shoes as her previous pair of Boots-£38 last September- were getting a bit small.
My fault- I should just go to clarks and pay £28 for a pair of Boots but their choice is very limited locally so I go to a lovely little children's shoe shop and the choice is extensive- unless you want dark colours- ten you're restricted to Bobell- French or German chioldren's shoes. Extremely well made and also fairly expensive- but what price her little feet being looked after.

Swyn and Erin both had their jabs on thursday. Erin was a trooper and took both jabs without a moan at all but little Swyn scremed the house down. My heart bled for both my girls. Poor Erin got taken off me as soon as she'd had her jabs and Swyn was thrust at me. I really could have done with giving Erin a cuddle before having her taken off me.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It's also bloody annoying.

Tell you what else really annoys me- people not saying thank you. That's for opening a door for someone, picking something up for someone, doing somebody a favour or for gifts. Really gets my goat when people can't show common courtesy and use 2 little words- Thank you- or even one- Thanks

Ian loves this pic of him and the girls so I decided to use it in this little frame and papers from the Scrapagogo kit. Tis a little wall hanging.

Went to Next first thing this morning and spent a small fortune on the smallest person in the house. I also got a coat and some trousers as well as a card holder for next year and a memo board. Number one daughter got a lamp for her bedroom.
Ian then decided we need a new dining room funiture so we went to MFI but saw nowt there.
Went to Homebase and as we walked in through the door we saw this table and 6 chairs. We both fell for it so we bought it. poor Ian then had to take me home so that he had an empty Galaxy to go back and get it. It only just fitted in his car but luckily it did and we are home and he has built the table and will start on the chairs once he's put erin to bed

Yup, my little dot is just over her birth weight. Took her to be weighed today and she's put on 4 1/2 oz. 4 oz is the acceptable minimum weight gain so she's just inside the boundaries.

Had a lovely day today, went out for most of the day with my mother and 2 gorgeous daughters.
Tracy gave Erin a butterfly money box that you paint yourself and this is wha se and Ian got up to yesterday. It looks really lovely, all shiny and abstract :)
She also made a thank you card for my parents- can you guess which one was done by the 4 year old.
The rest are my thank you cars- off to write them now

since Monday. My little dot had her tongue tie cut today. She had put on 3 1/2 oz since Monday. Have to take her to be weighes next Thursday or get a health visitor to come here and weigh her. We are soooooo lucky to have a breastfeeding expert in this area- without Sharon I tink I would have been forced to give up (by Swyn losing weight I mean and not knowing about things like supplementers)

One measley ounce

Yup, madam decided to do a massive wee and poo just before she was weighed and so showed a gain of only one measley ounce.
I weighed her nappy seperately and that was 4 oz. An empty nappy is half an ounce. I don't know what to think. The health visitor says that her cold will be draining her as well.

Car's a write off....

.... bit of good news in the gloom.
Weather pants here- freezing cold. Both girls have colds. Weigh in this afternoon.- wish us luck.

My team on UKS has gone a bit haywire. 2 of the members have had a swap go wrong and rather than sort it out between us one of them went public. All sorts of people dived in and it got really dirty.

Both were in the wrong. Both were fairly new members but had known each other in a previous team and have left a horrid taste and upset for the rest of us.

We've all discussed and decided to go back to how we were before they joined and to stay as an 8 team rather than a 10. We had trouble last year and I nearly left the team due to one person being nasty.

The rest of us all know and care about each other and would never do what these 2 have done.
Look at what Lana, Mims and Tracy did for me cos I wasn't joining in the advent swap- that is friendship!!!!! not posting nasty stuff about each other on public forums/blogs and getting other people to dive in when they don't know the full facts.

Anyway enuff said- wish me luck this afternoon

Swyn has only put an ounce on- going to hae to start using a supplementer when I go to see Sharon on Wednesday. Have given her a couple of cup feeds, one last night and one today just to see if it makes a difference

Waiting for ian to get back form the hospital- he was crashed into on the M6 on Friday night and his back and head are hurting so he's gone to A and E this morning- they've told him to take a week off work, to rest and to take painkillers- as if he can take a week off work being self employed lol

Talking of Swyn, saw Sharon yesterday, have to carry on with Domperidone and Fenugreek and the pumping. I'm pretty desperate for this to work as it's so important for me to be able to feed Swyn rather than give her formula.

saw the second gp today. he had a look at Swyn and said that if she hadn't gained when the health visitor weighed her then we would be admitted to hospital for investigation.

She had gained 1oz since Thursday.

HV told me to feed her which I did for 10 mins and she put an oz on during the feed which shows that I have 'some' milk.

Went to the support group today and the GP who runs it really boosted me up-as she said- it's going up not down.

She now weighs 7lb 81/2 oz

Anyway she has decided to cancel her kit so i asked her if i could have a look at the next one and i'd buy it off her- so there's the background.

Nahhhhhh, Domperidone.....

Swyn has only put 1 1/2oz on this week, should be a lot more. So, I am on drugs to try and increase my milk supply. To say I am gutted is an understatement. I am desperately worried about Swyn and also devastated at the thought that if this doesn't work then I may well end up having to give her cow's milk formula. There are very good reasons for breastfeeding and if I am forced to give Swyn formula I will be devastated. People are saying that 'at least i have done everything i can and tried my best but to be honest that is no consolation to me. There are other people who think formula is the better option- i don't. comments like that don't help either.

i had a crap pregnancy, a good birth but now my body is letting me down again.
I wish they'd taken my bloody spleen out when i was 16- i wouldn't be going through this now

Breastfeeding expert

Went to see the fabulous Sharon yesterday. She is the breastfeeding expert for this area, she took one look at Swyn and adjusted our latch and away we go. She may not need an op, have to wait and see if she's put on any more weight by next Thursday. She's certainly sleeping more and actually started posseting whish is a good sign as it shows she's getting enough milk.

Went to Llandudno today, argh- I hate shopping, no wonder the likes of Tesco do so well. Trying to get round the high street with a pram is a total nightmare, even the likes of Early Learning are crap

Hopefully that's the day Swyn will have her tongue tie cut. Hope that will sort her weight issues although the GP, midwife and Ian think that my blood has a lot to do with it. I have rung the haematologist today in the hope that he can come up with something I can do. It's very hard trying to function with such a low haemaglobin, very little sleep, trying to feed Swyn and look after Erin. Wisht hey had transfused me today, I reckon I'd be heaps better already and it could well have sorted my milk out

Tongue Tie

Seems Swyn has a slight tongue tie and that could be the case of her not gaining any weight.
Or it could be my haemaglobin which is 8.4 at the moment. My midwife phoned the ward this morning wanting me readmitted for a trasfusion but apparently they don't transfuse over 8- poo pants

Christmas shopping

Sent Ian to the local garden building place at the beginning of the week to order Erin's Christmas pressie- a 2 storey little play house. He came back having not ordered it. When I was there a couple of weeks ago the woman told me it was £420, she even wrote it down on a piece of paper. Well, when Ian went there the other day the price was £540- the woman had apparently made a mistake- so we have had to forget that and order a cheaper one from Argos as we just cannot justify spending that much.

Last few nights have been a bit better as regards sleep. My milk finally arrived and Swyn was sleepng a bit better. Until last night that is. Another bad night- argh.

what a night....

Swyn would not sleep last night and apart for being tired I was also upset as I thought it was my fault. Got to 5am and she fell asleep for an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got up and did some research on the net and apparetnly it's perfectly normal to have anight from hell on the 3rd night.

Managed to get a fair few sleeps in today and even though I'd been reassured from what I read on the net the midwife called round and reassured me further.

Mum and Dad took Erin home with them for a couple of hours so had another nap and a chill on the sofa and then some PRAWNS. Really missed my seafood when pregnant so my Tesco order this week included loads of prawns, mussels and a lobster :)

We've decided we ARE going to get Swyn a Christmas pressie this year after all. Well it's for Erin really but if we get it for Swyn then Erin will want to share it so she'll have to share with Swyn although at the moment we aren't having any problems apart for Erin showing a little insecurity- little dot. Ian took her to the field last nigt as he could see fireworks coming from the village and she LOVED them so when he popped into town today he bought a packet of fireworks.
His mother is coming over later to hold erin's hand while Ian lights the fireworks. Don't think Swyn will let me put her down long enough

Swyn, Esyllt or Glin were the final 3 but as I started to have her on the 31st October i really wanted Swyn and so that is what she is

Birth story

Well, I went in on Monday and by Wednesday not a lot had happened so they decided to take me to the delivery suite and pop my waters.

They couldn't on the first attempt at about 4 so they started me on the drip. By 9 they broke my waters and I was 3cm dilated by 1am. I was determined to manage without an epidural so was on the gas and air. I had the most horrid halucinations with it- all sorts going on in the delivery suite so I had to try not to use that as much.

By about 3.30am I was 7cm dilated and Swyn Je^n was born at 5.08am weighing 8lb8oz. I managed without an epidural, how I don't know but I just got to a certain stage and there was no turning back I spose. It got too late for an epidural so it was a case of having to.

Was on the delivery suite till the following afternoon as I had to have a couple of transfusions. Was taken to the post natal ward at tea time and then discharged today even though my haemaglobin was low.

arrived last week and so I have been playing. Have made some cards but still have loads left. The first two use bits of the kit, Magnolia stamps and some embossed papers that I bought from Sarah as a kit subscriber. The second one is a Bella stamp and papers from the kit

Then I have a Z card that I made with some Rusty Pickle papers from Scrap shed, bella stamp from Funky Kits and crocheted flower from Sarahs. The second Z card is made from the

kit and the wedding card is Rusty Pickle from Scrap Shed, Bella stamp from Funky Kits and embossed paper from Sarah's.

Going in to be induced tomorrow so probably won't be on for a week or so. Have heard tat inductions can take a few days and then I may well be in for a few days. Thanks for all your best wishes- shall let you all knnow as soon as I can :)

Some Christmas Planners I've made to sell at the school Christmas Fair. These are just a small sample, I've made over a dozen- all different. So quick and easy to make. Have also made birthday planners but may hang onto those to give as gifts becasue I made some for the school staff and don't want to spoil their surprise.

Yup, you read right,I might be getting me a new car. A Chrysler Jeep Grand Cheroke. We picked it up yesterday but I quite like it so even though it's actually meant to be for Ian I think I'm going to have it and sell mine.
Going to use it this week and if I like it then I think I'll keep it. what do you think- should I or should I hang on to my Vectra?

No consideration

Went to port Sunlight today to the Stamp show. Not a bad day really but some people show absolutely no consideration for others AT ALL.

Bearing in mind that I am 8 1/2 months pregnant some of the old women there were downright vicious in their pushing and shoving and THEIR need to get past me. I was on one stand and this middle aged woman and her friend wanted to see the demo, unfortunately for me I was in their way so they went one either side and squeezed together to try and push me back. I had to just stand firm and to be honest I gave them a hell of a dirty look.

Show was ok but a bit peel-offy if you know what I mean. There were loads of things that you see on Create and Craft there- various handbag templates and peel offs and the like.

Got myself some Staz-on and some stamps but I really wanted some alpha stamps or rolling stamps, didn't manage to see any of them there.

Rang Ian after an hour to tell him to come and get me when he was ready and he turned up an hour later. To think that they limit the tickets it was extremely crowded. Perhaps they should let some in the morning and others in the afternoon.

Made a few cards today. Used some of the tilda's from the swap that I've hosted but haven't had chance to send yet as I'm waiting for one more package.

These are half the envelopes in the middle of being sorted for the Magnolia stamp swap that I am hosting. RM ave really messed this up for me as not all the packages have arrived. I'm hoping the last one arrives today and then I can get the swap sent out before the next round of strikes

My Blonde Moments are here- I had to go get them from the sorting office this morning but I have them in my sweaty little mitts. They should hae been here last Thursday but de to the postal strike they are a week late. I tell you, last week the week was stretching ahead of me so far away.

I won't have time to play tomorrow now as Erin is off school for an INSET day So many people I know really slag teachers off for having INSET days in term time, sayingt hat it should come from our holidays- well can I just say one thing- they do come from our holidays.

Here's a couple of wedding cards I made with my Bella stamps- I really wub them. I've ordered 4 from the States- I did try to get them in this country but couldn't so I had to bite the bullet and order them direct. I try not to buy from the States for my personal use as I believe in supporting businesses in this country. For business I have to buy lots of my stash from the States and it is such a stressful business dealind with different time zones, customs etc. Ayway my bella order was below the customs limit so I'll be ok on that one.

A good luck card I made with my Bind it all and Tilda stamps- who'd have thought you could use the BIA on a card eh. I really like the effect as the Tilda is swinging away on the card and she is sucha fun character

Blackberry tarts

Collected enough blackberries today to make 2 tarts- will take one to my folks tomorrow and the other is for us- yum. Also made a Manchester tart today- double yuuum.

Phone call from a local school this evening wanting me to do a couple of weeks supply for them. It's a new school for me and would be a foot in the door but at 8 months gone I really don't feel up to it- secondary kids are very hard work plus I have that many appointments with the baby that I couldn't commit to a full 2 weeks- the money would have been very handy though.

Went to have a look at play houses yesterday and am in a bit of a dilemma. Do we go for the cheapo £240 from Argos or the 2 storey one built from proper timber- twice the price but it has a 15 year guarantee and will do Erin and #2 for eons. That would have been fab if I'd been able to do the work- it would have paid for the playhouse twice over.

Made an acrylic book the other day- my Bind it all really was a fabby purchase. Have also made another mini book today but need daylight to photograph it.

Have been extremely busy with Christmas cards-the English Paper company Christmas paper is gorgeous beyond gorgeous. Haven't bothered photographing them as there's loads

been using my

Tilda's today and also some acetate cards. One of the acetate cards is very hard to see- but what a fun time I had making it. Making an acetate album at the moment. Pretty pleased with all of them to be honest.

Went to mother in law's for lunch today as Sister in law was home for the weekend. Lunch was lovely as was pudding. Bit of an in joke with Ian and his sis about moter in law having more pudding than everyone else. Anyway sure enough there was a piece left over that she was saving for tomorrow. We all sat in the lounge and she was putting stuff away wen we heard a yelp. Se bougt the pud through to us and she'd only gone and poured the remainder of the cheese sauce on the Apple strudle- twas soooo funny and sweet justice for Ian and Sam who have had years of being shortchanged on the pud when they were younger :) :)

Candle Instructions

I have had loads of pm's and messages asking me how I made the candles earlier in the week. I can't take any credit for them I'm afraid as KittyF (First Class Crafts) pointed me in the direction of a tutorial on Split Coast Scrappers. The Tutorial is here for those of you that fancy a go.

TIPS
It's very easy to do. You need tissue paper- I bought some in my local card shop, Kitty bought some in Tesco. The wax paper mentioned is greasproof paper. You really do need to hold the greasproof tight and you'll actually 'see' the image embedding. Start in the middle and work your way out. Be careful not to overheat the candle.

So follow the instuctions on SCS and the tips by me and away you go. I bought 4 candles in the local hardware store for 99p each- very cheap Christmas pressies

Have been a busy bee last few days. Got the Bubbly Funk kit t'other day so made myself a Christams planner with that. Also with bubba due early November I've been flat out with christmas cards, Christmas lists, food lists and the like.

Erin has 3 'teachers' this year. her teacher, the nursery teacher and a classroom assistant. At a bit of a loss what to make so thought of a birthday book. Made 3 in the space of a few hours yesterday evening. It's all in Welsh and used the remains of the Bubbly Funk kit and a sheet and a half of some other paper that I bought. Also used the Bella stamps. Have ordered some Magnolia stamps from Funky Kits ad have also volunteered to host a magnolia image swap oer on UKS. Am very happy with the birthday books- just need to get thema bottle of wine each now and that's the teachers done. Everyone else is getting a jar of homemade chutney and a teatowel that the pta are sorting at the school. Anyway off now, catch you all later- hospital appointment

There is no difference at all between First Class Crafts and Funky Kits as to service and I have bought from both. the last 2 batches have been from FK but the first lot was from FCC. The only difference is that they have some difference in stock. I have to say thanks to Karen aka Mrs Mac though- one of the stamps I wanted was out of stock and she offered me a refund or replacement so I asked for a refund and was going to send her the money for the difference- she wouldn't hear of it-now I know how much profit margins are in this game and they're not much by the time you've paid everything. Must rememebr to put it in next time I order more stamps

4th in as many years. At Ian's business premises. Won't bore you with any more detail. Car is also not sorted properly after the accidnent. The local ford main dealer is the insurance approved repairer so it had to go in there last Christmas after I had my bump. My car is a Vauxhall so that makes total sense- anyway. 2.5k of a repair bill later and it's been back tot he garage 4 times. It went in to the vauxhall garage today to be diagnosed as the Ford garage don't have the diagnostic computers for Vauxhall- ho hum.

Witchybella and Tinkerbella arrived today along with some H20's which I'm not sure about. I shall perservere with tem but I think I prefer the watercolours. What do you think

New dishwasher and back to work

Dishwasher blew up Saturday night- literally- hell of a bang when we plugged it in. Ian had a quick look this morning but it went bang again- I had the same when he was in Orkneys but didn't know where it came from- I just heard the bang from the kitchen and tere was a funny smell there. had to go to Bangor yesterday morning to get another one. Got a bargain I think. Discontinued managers special should have been £370 but we got it for £260 and then they knocked another £25 off for scratches on the side and one tiny one on the front. Well chuffed but would have rahter not had to spend it obviously. I ddi say to Ian that we could manage without for a while but he didn't think so- especially as we have stoopid round sink and drainer which are crapola for washing up and draining dishes. Ian was keener than i was it seems to get a new one.

Anyway it's the dog's doodah's- the next one up from the one I had.

And then today back to work..... bah humbug. Bets bit of news was that one of the kids I worked with last year got a C in her English GCSE- proud moment there.

Bad news- this year's crowd. Can'tgo into any details but I am very glad that I'm going on maternity leave in 2 months. They don't have anybody to replace me yet and today we had a thinking session of who could do it- I had a brainwave and remembered an ex colleague of mine who has now retired and who would be very good with them. The boss is going to ring him so fingers crossed they'll have cover for me otherwise my colleague will be lumbered with soeone she doesn't like

Bella Stamps

Well I ordered these Bella stamps from kitty @ First Class Crafts having seen them ont he blogeroonie of Stamping Caz.

They are lovely stamps and come in all sorts of wonderful designs> i got veggiebella, bella and her fella, flowah bella and wine bella. Haven't mad e acard yet with wine bella but I will later.

Also a couple of Penny Black stamps- one that I used on the card that was runner up in Cardmaker of the Year last year and the boy was one of my prizes- never used the stamp before.

Have also made a mini book using my Bind It all and some pink papers that I bought recently. Funnily enough the ribbons that matched the papers were American Crafts ones that I got in a swap on UKScrappers last year and haven't used but they match the pink papers perfectly.

Also made some thank you cards for when we have the baby- but obviously i can't show them as they are colour themed and i'd give the game away

I started off as a cardmaker and soon got dragged kicking and screaming to Scrapbooking which I much prefer due to being able to keep my creations. I have only made family cards in the last year really as Scrapbooking took over. Last Christmas was my last big card splurge UNTIL last night- I made 5 cards and then another 2 this morning while Erin was in school. Haven't made this many cards in one go for ages. need to get some watercolours to colour them though

My little baby started her first day of dosbarth meithrin at the local school today. she's in 9-11 5 days a week. I had her in the Ysgol Feithrin before the summer for 3 days a week. if I find she's getting tired I'll keep her home one day a week but I think she'll be ok.

We had a little bit of trepidation this morning- from both of us. She held my hand tightly and was very nervous when we actually got into the class. I think this was caused by loads of strange parents being there- strange int hat she's never seen them before not strange weird. The dosbarth meithrin class is in with reception so there were a lot of parents there that Erin had never seen before. Once she'd orientated herself she wandered off to do a jigsaw so I gave her a kiss and left. Picked her up at 11 and she was very pleased to see me and said she'd missed me but she'd enjoyed herself. A couple of the other kids were upset and I was worried that that would rub off on Erin adn upset her- I knew that if she was upset I would be upset- hormones all over the place at the moment.

The other picture is of Erin helping her daddy build wardrobes the other night. Ian was most impressed- she was picking out the correct bits and managing to screw screws in properly. She more or less fixed one of the wardrobes together but got bored after doing one. We have had 3 for her bedroom so that I could sort hers and the baby's clothes out.

Plus the other cupboards I had were so knackered- I've had them years and they weren't exactly top of the range when I got them.

We moved 2 of her shelf units to our room to make room for the cot when the baby is here. Goodness knows how we'll manage for space- it's a very tight fit now and will be worse with another - que cera as the French say

Altered canvasses

Found these in my glass scrapping cupboard at the weekend. I was sorting things out ready to put erin's toys in there and decided that even though the cupboard was toughened safety glass I didn't want it in the children's play room and as I had nowhere else to put it I freecycled it.

Anyway I found 6 canvasses that were a bargain jobbie from the Works eons ago and I decided to use the luscious Rusty Pickle and Lil Davies papers that I have recently bought for MY stash. Have also put some other photos up. The walls here are rock hard and every nail I've tried to put in has buckled so tonight I decided to use some ultra strong electricians nails :) :)

Canvasses are now up on the walls as are some photo frames that have been on the window sill since we moved in because I couldn't get anything into the walls

Busy few days

... we've had a busy few days. Friday went to henBlas where my little darling hada pony ride. I never thought that she'd willingly get on the horse but get on she did and she was led down the field and back again without me.Very proud of her.
Saturday she had a party at the leisure center where I bumped into an old friend of mine. Twas lovely to see her and funny that even though I've known Kris (the mum whose dd was having a party) for over 7 years I never knew that she knew Sharon. Sharon was in my thoughts constantly while I had the chromosomal scare recently as she had a little girl who had Edward's Syndrome and sadly as is usual with this syndrome the little girl died at 3 months. Sharon hadn't known that she had this chromosomal abnormality and was tested for it in her subsequent pregnancies. Many years ago Sharon and I had long chats about little E and it was those chats that came back to me and resolved my mind when I was going through the tests recently. It was so lovely to see her and the children again.

Sunday we popped to Bangor and ended up having a pretty pants lunch at the Antelope- very hit and miss that pub- had to send my food back as it was stone cold when it arrived.

Monday Ian worked all morning and came home at lunchtime. We went blackberry picking in the fields. Erin had a whale of a time and we ended up with a good amount of Blackberries. Froze some and made a crumble with the rest- well Erin made acrumble with the rest lol.

Also peeled a load of apples from the garden and made a load more chutney and froze some apple for caked this winter. We really need a chest freezer to deal with this fruit. Pears are almost ready- no idea what we'll make with them.

Today the BIND IT ALL arrived in stock at my shop. The totes aren't in yet I don't think so we didn't get any of those but I got loads of machines and loads of wires. Pop over to my shop to have a look- I LOVE the BIND IT ALL
