Altered canvasses

Found these in my glass scrapping cupboard at the weekend. I was sorting things out ready to put erin's toys in there and decided that even though the cupboard was toughened safety glass I didn't want it in the children's play room and as I had nowhere else to put it I freecycled it.

Anyway I found 6 canvasses that were a bargain jobbie from the Works eons ago and I decided to use the luscious Rusty Pickle and Lil Davies papers that I have recently bought for MY stash. Have also put some other photos up. The walls here are rock hard and every nail I've tried to put in has buckled so tonight I decided to use some ultra strong electricians nails :) :)

Canvasses are now up on the walls as are some photo frames that have been on the window sill since we moved in because I couldn't get anything into the walls

Busy few days

... we've had a busy few days. Friday went to henBlas where my little darling hada pony ride. I never thought that she'd willingly get on the horse but get on she did and she was led down the field and back again without me.Very proud of her.
Saturday she had a party at the leisure center where I bumped into an old friend of mine. Twas lovely to see her and funny that even though I've known Kris (the mum whose dd was having a party) for over 7 years I never knew that she knew Sharon. Sharon was in my thoughts constantly while I had the chromosomal scare recently as she had a little girl who had Edward's Syndrome and sadly as is usual with this syndrome the little girl died at 3 months. Sharon hadn't known that she had this chromosomal abnormality and was tested for it in her subsequent pregnancies. Many years ago Sharon and I had long chats about little E and it was those chats that came back to me and resolved my mind when I was going through the tests recently. It was so lovely to see her and the children again.

Sunday we popped to Bangor and ended up having a pretty pants lunch at the Antelope- very hit and miss that pub- had to send my food back as it was stone cold when it arrived.

Monday Ian worked all morning and came home at lunchtime. We went blackberry picking in the fields. Erin had a whale of a time and we ended up with a good amount of Blackberries. Froze some and made a crumble with the rest- well Erin made acrumble with the rest lol.

Also peeled a load of apples from the garden and made a load more chutney and froze some apple for caked this winter. We really need a chest freezer to deal with this fruit. Pears are almost ready- no idea what we'll make with them.

Today the BIND IT ALL arrived in stock at my shop. The totes aren't in yet I don't think so we didn't get any of those but I got loads of machines and loads of wires. Pop over to my shop to have a look- I LOVE the BIND IT ALL

Memory books

Made a couple of memory books yesterday for a special family. I made one with the Bind it all and the other was a little maze book. I used some gorgeous papers from a kit I had in the shop- had one left that needed selling so decided I had to have some perks from the shop :)

No photos in them as I have left that for the family to do when they want to.

Lovin that Lil

Lil Davies that is. Feeling down

in the dumps the otehr day I bought some paper for ME- not the shop but for me. First 2 Lo's are done using the new Lil Davies papers- notice the bling there as well- courtesy of my Bejeweller :)

Second one was a Love Elsie LO, used some acrylics and te stamp from the little Silver Hat kit

Tywysoges

Here's Erin's bejewelled Tywysoges t shirt. Just a cheapo t shirt from tesco that I have bejewelled.

made a bit of a mistake with the lettering but you live and learn- I won't put tem that close together again and I'll use a simpler font

Bejewelled

Having a few teething problems with my new bejeweller but managed to make this for erin today. It's just one of her plain t-shirts decorated with crystals.

Lisa has demanded photos of the weekend so here they are missus;

I went on the teacups but had to get off before they started as i got sea sick :(

Can you believe that i let my darling daughter go on the pirate boat.

well, foolishly I did- can you see her at the back.

A very kid friendly ride that she loved.

Problem with Erin is that she has inherited from ian- the thrill seeker gene- argh

Party dress

Went to Anna's a few weeks ago and we went off to a party with the kids. When I got home Ian decided that Erin should have a party dress- despite me saying that party dresses these days are most impractical as parties tend to be on bouncy castles or slide type places. Anyway- I digress. My cousin's little boy was having a party locally so I went off to tesco and bought Erin her first party dress. Here she is pictured after the party. you'll have seen the photo before as I used it to show the bind it all box she is holding.

Used more of the ribbons from the Little Silver hat kit and also the stamp from the kit and a flower. The center of the flower is a spare rosette that I made for the bag last night- have put a detailed close up here

Oh and I photoshopped the picture rather than inking the edges. Used photo actions i bought from kirsty

Ribbon kit and Calendar

A couple of things to share today.

For a few weeks now I have been trying desperately to get hold of the hugely popular monthly kit from Little Silver hat. You have to be very quick off the mark to get these kits though but this month I managed not only to grab myself one but also to sub so that in future I will get one every month.

Due to the postal strikes the kit was late but boy oh boy was it worth the wait. It is absolutely scrummylicious.

First thing i made were some little rosettes and then i decided to decorate a bag with them. The only suitable bag I had was one from a retreat i went to last year by Sarah's cards.

So first picture is of the decorated bag.

Also made a calendar- 12 x 6 or 6 x 12- can never remember which figure comes first.

Decorated along the same theme. I have only included the first three pages as I don't want to bore you with every single page. been spurred on to do something by the exhibition that I have coming up this weekend and also need to start thinking Christmas pressies for rellies. can't see me having an awful lot of time once #2 is here

Looking better

Went to see the midwife today and all appears to be well with the baby at least. She is very concerned about my health and my blood levels however and I have now got to start seeing her every 2 weeks or ring her if I start to feel any worse.

I'm breathless and have difficulty talking without losing my breath and i am so shattered all the time. I want to do things with Erin this summer but fear going anywhere as I am exhausted by lunchtime.

My knee is still painful as well so that isn't helping the general mood. Quite peed off about it if I'm honest.
